October Happenings

October is one of my favorite months. I love Halloween, fall colors, hot drinks, sweater- all of those cliche fall things are right up my alley. We've been busy around these parts. We went to a gingerbread house decorating party with our friends. Our house was made from graham crackers because we were too lazy to make our own gingerbread, but it worked. Next October, I am going to copy Jen and make a chocolate gingerbread house- it looked spookey and tasted awesome.

Apollo had a gingerbread house, but it mysteriously "Broke" and started to disappear one piece at a time when it came time to decorate it.

He's also had a blast learning about pumpkins and wearing his spider hat everywhere.

And I had the opportunity to show off my totally awesome accordion skills (haha) at the SHoreline ward talent show with some of my friends and their band. It was so much fun. We attempted to perform this song by Arcade Fire:

I'm pretty sure we rocked it.

The kids sang and danced with us at the bottom of the stage. It was fun.

And our big plans for this weekend are to finish sewing our costumes for the masquerade we are attending at the Colombia Tower in Seattle. I'm going to be the Red Queen and Cam is the Mad Hatter. It's gonna rock. Pictures to come.

I know... I've been a bad blogger lately. And the blogs I do write are really short and boring. Being pregnant and watching two hyperactive kids is really taking it's toll. Hopefully I'll get better at being more consistent. Thanks to those few people who continue to read my boring posts :) Love you guys.

I think someone took a video, but I haven't seen it yet- if I can get a hold of a copy I'll put it up. The kids mic was on louder than all of our mics, so maybe it's a good thing you haven't heard our rendition :)
