Halloween Recap

Phew! What a week! I had the pleasure of being the mucus queen all week. My nose decided to turn against me and I was unable to breathe through it because it was so plugged up. Every morning, I woke up to a big drool spot on my pillow since I had to sleep with my mouth open all night. Oh man I hate having a stuffy nose. I get this clausterophic, on the verge of suffocating sensation when I try to sleep. I even tried using my handy neti pot, but my nose was so stuffy that the water wouldn't go through. Anyways- thanks for listening to my sob story. Whining is so therapeutic. I feel better now.

But, it was a fun week for the three-year-old. He got to to party at preschool  and experience a sugar high at home. We went to a farm/pumpkin patch on Thursday, and we also had fun at our friend's Halloween party on Saturday. On Halloween, we joined our awesome neighbors for some pizza and cupcake decorating and then went trick-or-treating. The kids were so cute. They were sprinting door to door. Sunshine stole a few candy bars when I wasn't looking and started sucking on the wrappers. She threw a fit when I took them away. Apparently, reeses peanut butter cups are her new favorite food.

Today, Apollo left all of his Halloween candy (minus ten pieces he picked out) on the back patio for the Halloween troll to take away. In the morning, he'll have a non-sugary gift in it's place. My sister-in-law suggested this to me and I think it's brilliant.

I apologize for the picture dump, but I'm too tired to be organized about it.

So cute with your belly bump! Thanks for the shout out in your blog! I'm excited you called it a troll just like Tyler wants too. P.S. I read your facebook and saw your friend wrote that she has good control over the candy, I was thinking wow good for you! I love the troll idea much better, who wants there kid to eat that much candy even if it's over a long period of time. I love the idea of starting a Halloween tradition! Love you.

I'm excited too! And the kids will have cousins who believe in the troll too- that will be fun. Yay!
