Our friends Hayley and Carlos came to visit over the weekend. We had fun visiting Pike Place (despite the freezing rain), eating seafood at the crab pot, shopping at Anthropologie, eating more amazing food made by Carlos, oh, and did I mention the eating of the delicious food? Best pancakes and best halibut I ever tasted, made by Carlos. YUM. They brought Edwin to join our family. He's been well-loved by them, but they thought he could use a home where he had more yard to wander and where he doesn't have to compete with a dog for attention. They also brought along their three kids, so we had five kids four and under in our tiny house all weekend long, along with four adults. It was busy! But so much fun.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical about this whole pig adoption, but Edwin is growing on me. I wasn't sure what to expect since I have never had a pig before. He doesn't demand attention the way a dog does, but he's friendly and loves to let you rub his belly. Apparently, his sister from the same litter is Paris Hilton's pet pig. So "the six degrees of Kevin Bacon"game works with Edwin, and I can't help but smile at the whole "Bacon" aspect, either.
He's also better at cleaning my floors than my Dyson ever was. I let him into the house today to clean up under Sunshine's high chair. The floor was spotless when he was finished, and then he went back outside when I asked him to. After I feed the kids, he stands at the sliding glass doors and wags his tail at me. I guess he knows what his job is around here! He's pretty cute, although I don't think I'll be kissing him on the snout like Cameron likes to anytime soon. Ewe. Gross.

how cute! I've never had a pig but one of the best things our old dog was good at was cleaning my floors!! Congrats on the new addition to your family :)
Rory- that is soo random! BAHAHA! :) I hope you enjoy him, even after he gets bigger! ;)
So cute! I love using the pugs as a vaccume cleaner too! It's so great, you have a giant mess one minute and the next spotless floors, it's freakin' fabulous!! Edwin is lucky to join your loving family, have fun.
